Empathy instead of pressure.

One of the essential "flexible" skills is empathy, according to Sergei Kordashenko, managing partner of the consulting company RosExpert. It is empathy that allows the leader to feel the approach of burnout for each of the team members. Lacking empathy, leaders remain deaf to what is happening outside the walls of their offices. Developing empathy is more difficult than mastering an authoritarian management style. But it can be done in three simple steps:
  1. Track employee engagement
  2. Communicate more often - and not just for business matters.
  3. Be curious.
